Diversification

A great way to grow your business is to offer additional cleaning services. Not only do additional services bring in revenue streams that you would never had if you didn’t offer these new services, but it will also bring in new customers that can use your existing services. I can’t tell you how many times, our carpet cleaning businesses did air duct cleaning for a new customer that we never cleaned carpet for before. Well, guess who will become a new carpet cleaning customer of our business in the future… We would have never had this customer if it wasn’t for our diversification add-on service of air duct cleaning! Also, this works in reverse. If you don’t offer these additional services, but your competitor does, you risk having them steal your carpet cleaning customers. It is always a little scary adding a service that you are unfamiliar with. However, CleanCraft is here to hold your hand, and help with the process and expertise. Here are a few diversifications that make sense for carpet cleaning companies:

Tile & Grout Cleaning: This is an easy add-on service. Most homes have additional flooring types besides carpeting. Why not focus on some of these? Tile & Grout cleaning can be done by using your existing equipment, but just adding some accessories. We can walk you through a few options and what may be best for your company. Start with checking out our Hard Surface Equipment & Tools section of our website. Then, give us a call to discuss.

Air Duct Cleaning: This will probably be the most profitable add-on service you will ever offer in your carpet cleaning business. Our carpet cleaning businesses have been offering air duct & dryer vent cleaning services for over 20 years. Over the last 5 years or so, I can’t tell you how much growth there is in this area. More and more homeowners are concerned about their indoor air quality. In fact, one of our carpet cleaning businesses we own, last year had 70% of it’s revenue in air duct cleaning. Remember, this is a carpet cleaning business… yet, 70% of revenue was in air duct cleaning! Talk about the best move to diversify, ever !!! Many carpet cleaners are frightened about offering a service that they don’t see related to carpet cleaning. However, I will tell you, it is related. The customer base overlaps! Why not offer your customers this service? They are going to get it from someone, why not your company? Plus, CleanCraft will help you take this leap. Not only does CleanCraft have features & technology that no other systems have, but we also have a proprietary “Network” to pass you jobs (not leads, but actual booked work). In many cases, we are passing our customers more $$$ in work in the first few months than the air duct cleaning equipment cost to begin with! Again, this will probably be the best decision you ever made since you started your carpet cleaning business.
